Aida by Guiseppe Verdi is a timeless opera, an intimate love drama with large-scale political power play as a tool in the arena of love.

Aida is a princess who is captured and held as a slave. The military captain Radames is torn between his love for Aida and loyalty to his own leader. The relationship is further complicated by the fact that the leader's daughter, Amneris, is in love with Radames without the love being reciprocated.
