Armide is an opera by Jean-Baptiste Lully. The libretto by Philippe Quinault is based on Torquato Tasso's poem La Gerusalemme liberata (Jerusalem Delivered). The work is in the form of a tragédie en musique, a genre invented by Lully and Quinault.

Armide is the last musical tragedy (in five acts and a prologue) completed by Jean-Baptiste Lully. It was composed in 1686 to a libretto by Philippe Quinault and is often considered the masterpiece of the two artists. The subject of the tragedy is borrowed from Tasso's Delivered Jerusalem (Gerusalemme liberata). It narrates the unhappy love of the magician Armide for the knight Renaud.
