One of the most popular works of the world opera repertoire is a fascinating essence of French charm and Spanish passion. Jedno z najpopulárnejších diel svetového operného repertoáru je fascinujúcou esenciou francúzskeho šarmu a španielskej vášne. Carmen je strhujúcou hudobnou drámou, v ktorej sa, okrem množstva populárnych árií,  priamo na scéne pred očami divákov mení operná história. Začína sa ako opéra comique, vzápätí sa zmení na romantickú drámu a napokon vyvrcholí ako veristická opera. Silný príbeh o sile ľudských vášní je okorenený temperamentnými i dojímavými melódiami a strhujúcimi rytmami. V novej inscenácii režiséra Lubora Cukra sa však skrýva viac, ako len príbeh o prelietavej láske, Carmen sa stáva

Diese Oper, eines der populärsten Werke des Opernrepertoires, ist eine faszinierende Essenz französischen Charmes und spanischer Leidenschaft. Carmen ist ein fesselndes Musikdrama, in dem neben zahlreichen populären Arien, direkt auf der Bühne, vor den Augen der Zuschauer, die Operngeschichte verändert wird. Das Werk beginnt wie eine opéra comique, entwickelt sich zu einem romantischen Drama und gipfelt zuletzt in einer veristischen Oper. Die starke Geschichte über die Macht der menschlichen Leidenschaften wird durch temperamentvolle sowie rührende Melodien und mitreißende Rhythmen bekräftigt. Hinter der Neuinszenierung des Regisseurs Lubor Cukor versteckt sich jedoch weitaus mehr als nur eine Geschichte über flatterhafte Liebe, Carmen wird zum Freiheitssymbol. Die Liebe ist Schicksal und Unglück zugleich: direkt, zynisch, unschuldig und gerade deshalb frei.
