One of the leading Polish symphonic ensembles of the young generation. It is made up of the most outstanding students and graduates of European music academies, e.g. Music Academy in Kraków, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Royal Music Conservatoire in Brussels, Conservatoire International de Musique in Paris and Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz. The band started its activity in 2003, right after the successes at the 53rd Jünger Künstler Bayreuth festival.

In 2005, thanks to Elżbieta Penderecka, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra made its debut during the 9th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, gathering excellent reviews and receiving many invitations to participate in prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad.

The orchestra has recorded twenty albums so far, including for DUX Poland, Centaur Records USA, Le Foxx Music and Universal Music. She also signed a contract with the renowned publishing house EMI London KPM. With as much success as the scores of classical music, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra reaches for the hits of popular or film music. He has recorded soundtracks for such giants as Warner Bros and Monolith, collaborated with composers Hans Zimmer, Elliot Goldenthal, Michał Lorenc and Jan AP Kaczmarek, as well as recorded the extremely popular album "Siedem Pieśni Maria" (Universal Music Polska), which It quickly gained platinum status, selling over 300,000 copies.

In March 2018, Universal released the album "Waves of My Life" with the music of the Emirati artist Ihab Darwish. The concert premiere with the participation of the Beethoven Academy Orchestra and the composer himself took place at the famous Abu Dhabi Music Festival. From the very beginning, Marcin Klejdysz, its founder, has been taking artistic and organizational care over the band. Since November 2013, at the invitation of the artists of the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, the function of the principal conductor has been held by maestro Jacek Kaspszyk, and since 2019, the principal guest conductor is Jean-Luc Tingaud. The ensemble has performed on famous concert stages in Europe and around the world, including Alte Oper Frankfurt, Musikverein in Vienna, Great Hall of People in Beijing, Xinhai Concert Hall, Sanat Concert Hall in Istanbul, Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and Konzerthaus in Berlin.

He regularly performs at the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, the Festival of Polish Music in Moscow, Last Night of the Proms in Cracow, the International Music Festival Chopin and his Europe in Warsaw, as well as the Film Music Festival in Krakow, during which in 2014 he had the honor of honoring the spectacular International Gala of the 100th Anniversary of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

The orchestra gives cyclical concerts with the Darmstadt Concert Choir, where it has been a resident ensemble since 2011. It also attaches great importance to the education of the youngest music lovers. With the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Film Institute and local governments, it has staged several dozen concerts in the following cycles: Bolek and Lolek symphonically, Fairytale melodies, Bird gossip or a thing about music. At the invitation of the Krakow Festival Office, the orchestra inaugurated the opening of the Tauron Arena for 16,000 youngest spectators in the production of Pixar in concert. Since 2010, he has also been carrying out his own concert series "Jeszcze polska Muzyka..." promoting the forgotten treasures of Polish music. This year, OAB has made spectacular recordings for Marvel and Netflix. Commissioned by the orchestra, "Symphony No. 3 for soprano and orchestra to the poetry of Barbara Sadowska" was composed by Oscar winner Elliot Goldenthal. The world premiere took place in Krakow on December 15, 2021. At the end of the jubilee 2023, at the invitation of Lang-Lang, the band will perform in Saudi Arabia.

Jeden z czołowych polskich zespołów symfonicznych młodego pokolenia. Tworzą go najwybitniejsi studenci i absolwenci europejskich wyższych szkół muzycznych, m.in. Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst w Stuttgarcie, Hochschule für Musik w Karlsruhe, Royal Music Conservatoire w Brukseli, Conservatoire International de Musique w Paryżu i Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst w Grazu. Zespół rozpoczął działalność w 2003 roku, tuż po sukcesach na 53 festiwalu Jünger Künstler Bayreuth.

W 2005 roku, za sprawą Elżbiety Pendereckiej, Orkiestra Akademii Beethovenowskiej zadebiutowała podczas IX Wielkanocnego Festiwalu Ludwiga van Beethovena w Warszawie, gromadząc wyśmienite recenzje oraz otrzymując wiele zaproszeń do udziału w prestiżowych festiwalach w kraju i za granicą.

Orkiestra nagrała dotychczas dwadzieścia płyt, między innymi dla wytwórni DUX Poland, Centaur Reccords USA, Le Foxx Music oraz Universal Music. Podpisała również kontrakt z renomowaną oficyną wydawniczą EMI London KPM. Z równie wielkim sukcesem jak po partytury muzyki klasycznej, Orkiestra Akademii Beethovenowskiej sięga po przeboje muzyki rozrywkowej czy filmowej. Na koncie ma nagrania ścieżek dźwiękowych dla takich gigantów jak Warner Bros czy Monolith, współpracę z kompozytorami Hansem Zimmerem, Elliotem Goldenthalem, Michałem Lorencem i Janem A. P. Kaczmarkiem, a także rejestrację niezwykle popularnego albumu „Siedem Pieśni Marii” (Universal Music Polska), który w błyskawicznym tempie zyskał status platynowej płyty, sprzedając się w nakładzie przekraczającym 300 tysięcy egzemplarzy.

W marcu 2018 r. nakładem wytwórni Universal ukazał się album „Waves of My Life” z muzyką emirackiego twórcy Ihaba Darwisha. Koncertowa premiera z udziałem Orkiestry Akademii Beethovenowskiej i samego kompozytora miała miejsce na słynnym Abu Dhabi Music Festival. Artystyczną i organizacyjną pieczę nad zespołem pełni od samego początku jej założyciel Marcin Klejdysz. Od listopada 2013 roku, na zaproszenie artystów Orkiestry Akademii Beethovenowskiej, funkcję pierwszego dyrygenta sprawuje maestro Jacek Kaspszyk a od 2019 pierwszym gościnnym dyrygentem jest Jean-Luc Tingaud. Zespół gościł na słynnych scenach koncertowych Europy i świata, w tym Alte Oper Frankfurt, wiedeńskiej Musikverein, Great Hall of People w Pekinie, Xinhai Concert Hall, Sanat Concert Hall w Stambule, Emirates Palace w Abu Dhabi czy Konzerthaus w Berlinie.

Regularnie występuje na Wielkanocnym Festiwalu Ludwiga van Beethovena Warszawie, Festiwalu Muzyki Polskiej w Moskwie, Last Night of the Proms in Cracow, Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Muzycznym Chopin i jego Europa w Warszawie, a także Festiwalu Muzyki Filmowej w Krakowie, podczas którego w 2014 roku miał zaszczyt uświetnić spektakularną Międzynarodową Galę 100-lecia Amerykańskiego Stowarzyszenia Kompozytorów, Autorów i Wydawców (ASCAP).

Orkiestra daje cykliczne koncerty z Chórem Koncertowym Darmstadt, gdzie od 2011 roku pełni rolę zespołu rezydującego. Przykłada także ogromną wagę do edukacji najmłodszych melomanów. Przy wsparciu Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego, Polskiego Instytutu Sztuki Filmowej oraz lokalnych samorządów zrealizowała kilkadziesiąt koncertów w cyklach: Bolek i Lolek symfonicznie, Bajkowe melodie, Ptasie plotki czyli rzecz o muzyce. Na zaproszenie Krakowskiego Biura Festiwalowego orkiestra zainaugurowała otwarcie hali Tauron Areny dla 16 tysięcy najmłodszych widzów w produkcji Pixar in concert. Od 2010 roku realizuje również autorski cykl koncertowy „Jeszcze polska muzyka...” promujący zapomniane skarby muzyki polskiej. W bieżącym roku OAB zrealizował spektakularne nagrania dla studia Marvel oraz Netflix. Na zamówienie orkiestry „3 Symfonię na sopran i orkiestrę do poezji Barbary Sadowskiej”, skomponował zdobywca Oskara - Elliot Goldenthal. Światowa prapremiera odbyła się w Krakowie 15go grudnia 2021 roku. Na zakończenie jubileuszowego 2023 roku na zaproszenie Lang-Langa, zespół wystąpi w Arabi Saudyjskiej.
