Una de les grans intèrprets de Mahler de l’actualitat com és Dame Sarah Connolly recorda aquest compositor com a tribut en el centenari de Victoria de los Ángeles. La música de Mahler que ella mateixa reconeixia que “necessitava moltíssim”, l’interpretà en algunes ocasions, especialment alguns Lieder del cicle Des Knaben Wunderhorn, però la relació de Victoria amb Mahler va ser sobretot d’inspiració, arribant a triar l’Adagietto com l’únic disc que s’enduria a una illa deserta. Aquesta dame estimada ja pel públic del LIFE Victoria retorna al Sant Pau Recinte Modernista per tercer any consecutiu, en aquesta ocasió junt amb Joseph Middleton, en un programa amb Mahler dialoga amb altres compositor i també amb Victoria amb motiu del seu centenari.

Mahler I: The need for Mahler
One of the great interpreters of Mahler today, such as Dame Sarah Connolly, remembers this composer as a tribute in the centenary of Victoria de los Ángeles. Mahler's music, which she herself recognized as "needing a lot", she performed on a few occasions, especially some Lieder from the Des Knaben Wunderhorn cycle , but Victoria's relationship with Mahler was above all one of inspiration, going so far as to choose the Adagietto like the only record that would be taken to a desert island.
