In a swirling Paris, where champagne flows freely, affairs of the heart largely replace political questions. The most performed operetta in the world, directed with panache by Yves Senn.

In a carefree Europe, whose image was less affected by the collapse of the Second Empire than its heritage, a country threatened with bankruptcy worries about the fortune of a rich and beautiful heiress, fearing her flight. The ambassador from Marsovia weaves an intrigue aimed at arranging his marriage to a compatriot. The lucky winner is none other than the young widow's childhood sweetheart.
