The carnival and lagoon city of Venice provides the backdrop for this feel-good piece from Vienna's heyday by the "Waltz King" Johann Strauss. Three old senators with three adventurous women, a charming duke who captivates all women with the seductive rhythm of his song, a faithful barber, a macaroni cook and a desirable fisher girl are the protagonists behind the colorful Venetian masks that somehow get to the obligatory “lieto fine” despite complications and confusion: everyone masked, where fun, where madness and lust reigns!

Die Karneval und Lagunenstadt Venedig bietet die Kulisse für dieses Gute-Laune-Stück aus der Blütezeit Wiens vom „Walzerkönig“ Johann Strauß. Drei alte Senatoren mit drei abenteuerlustigen Frauen, ein charmanter Herzog, der durch den verführerischen Rhythmus seines Liedes alle Frauen in seinen Bann zieht, ein treuer Barbier, ein Makkaroni-Koch und ein begehrenswertes Fischermädchen sind die Protagonist*innen hinter den bunten venezianischen Masken, die trotz Verwicklungen und Verwirrungen doch irgendwie zum obligatorischen „lieto fine“ kommen: Alle maskiert, wo Spaß, wo Tollheit und Lust regiert!
