This time we are planning to prepare a performance for which it would be difficult to set an age limit for its audience. It is difficult, because this limit does not exist, and this is because "Hansel and Małgosia", an opera fairy tale - as the composer himself called his work - is for everyone: for those whose mothers tell beautiful fairy tales in bed, for those who already read on their own , but also for adults who are as eager as children to escape into the world of fairy tales, fantasies and dreams, from their unfortunately distant childhood. There is also "Hansel and Małgosia" a feast for the most discerning music lover. Richard Wagner himself admired Humperdinck's opera for a reason. The excellent musical characteristics of the characters, melodic richness, variety of moods and rich instrumentation guarantee a performance that will accompany the next generations of young music lovers. The premiere of this performance will complement the offer of our Theater for the youngest viewers. It will be a family opera for whole families, the first opera for children played in Polish on our stage for many years. On stage we will see soloists, ballet and the orchestra of the Grand Theater in Łódź.

Tym razem planujemy przygotowanie spektaklu, dla którego trudno byłoby wyznaczyć granicę wieku jego odbiorców. Trudno, ponieważ granica ta nie istnieje, a to dlatego, że „Jaś i Małgosia”, baśń operowa – jak nazwał swoje dzieło sam kompozytor – jest dla wszystkich: dla tych, którym mamy opowiadają do poduszki piękne bajki, dla tych którzy czytają już samodzielnie, ale i dla dorosłych, którzy równie chętnie jak dzieci uciekają w świat baśni, fantazji i marzeń, z odległego już niestety dzieciństwa. Jest też „Jaś i Małgosia” ucztą dla najwytrawniejszego melomana. Nie bez powodu operą Humperdincka zachwycał się sam Richard Wagner. Znakomita charakterystyka muzyczna postaci, bogactwo melodyczne, zróżnicowanie nastrojów oraz bogata instrumentacja dają gwarancję na przedstawienie, które będzie towarzyszyło kolejnym pokoleniom młodych melomanów. Premiera tego spektaklu będzie uzupełniała ofertę naszego Teatru dla najmłodszych widzów. Będzie to opera familijna dla całych rodzin, pierwsza od wielu lat na naszej scenie opera dla dzieci grana w języku polskim. Na scenie zobaczymy solistów, balet i orkiestrę Teatru Wielkiego w Łodzi.
