The Romanian National Opera in Iași presents the first premiere of the year, the opera  Il trovatore  by  Giuseppe Verdi , which can be seen in a double performance on  March 25  and  26  .
Verdi's creation  The Troubadour , the second work of the "popular trilogy", is a drama in four acts to a libretto by Salvatore Cammarano, written after the tragedy "El trovator" by Antonio Garcia Gutiérrez. The opera has no prelude or overture. After a few short introductory orchestral measures, the curtain rises. The action takes place in Spain in the 15th century, during the civil war that opposes the monarchy to the partisans of the Prince of Urgel.
The narrative thread of the composition focuses on the turmoil of love specific to the love triangle, pigmented with duels, failures and revenges. In contrast to the troubled state of the heroes, the atmosphere in the opera  The Troubadour  is colored by the free and adventurous life of the gypsies, the quintessence of which can be found in the famous musical moment "Coro degli zingari".
The direction, costumes and lights of the show are made by  Matteo Mazzoni , the set is created by  Giacomo Calliari , and Luca Attilii is responsible for the video design  .
The guest soloists perform alongside the soloists, the choir, the ballet and the orchestra of the Iași Opera, led from the conductor's desk by the baton of maestro  David Crescenzi .

Opera Națională Română din Iași prezintă prima premieră a anului, opera Il trovatore de Giuseppe Verdi, care va putea fi urmărită în dublă reprezentație, pe 25 și 26 martie.
Creația verdiană Trubadurul, a doua lucrare din „trilogia populară”, este o dramă în patru acte pe un libret de Salvatore Cammarano, scris după tragedia „El trovator” de Antonio Garcia Gutiérrez. Opera nu are preludiu sau uvertură. După cȃteva tacte introductive orchestrale scurte, se ridică cortina. Acțiunea se desfășoară în Spania secolului al XV-lea, în timpul războiului civil care opune monarhiei pe partizanii prințului de Urgel.
Firul narativ al compoziției se concentrează pe zbuciumul iubirii specifice triunghiului amoros, pigmentat cu dueluri, neîmpliniri și răzbunări. În contrast cu starea încrâncenată a eroilor, atmosfera din opera Trubadurul e pastelată de viață liberă și aventuroasă a țiganilor, a cărei chintesență se regăsește în renumitul moment muzical „Coro degli zingari”.
Regia, costumele și luminile spectacolului sunt realizate de Matteo Mazzoni, decorul este creat de Giacomo Calliari, iar de video design este responsabil Luca Attilii.
Interpretează soliștii invitați alături de soliștii, corul, baletul și orchestra Operei ieșene, conduși de la pupitrul dirijoral de bagheta maestrului David Crescenzi.
