Czterej młodzi artyści, z trudem wiążący koniec z końcem, trzęsą się z zimna w wynajmowanej mansardzie. Gdyby z ich talentów i serc gotowych na miłość można było wykrzesać ogień, wyziębiona izba buzowałaby gorącym płomieniem. Gdzie znajduje się wychłodzone mieszkanie? Pod niebem Paryża, oczywiście. W której dzielnicy? Łacińskiej., jakżeby inaczej!

Puccini wiedział doskonale, że sięgając po powieść Murgera, poruszy nawet najbardziej zatwardziałe serca. Klucz do sukcesu „Cyganerii" to temat bliski każdemu: młodość, brawura, przyjaźń i miłość. Tandemowi znakomitych librecistów Illica – Giacoso pozostawało stworzyć arcydzieło. Prace nad librettem i muzyką przebiegały równocześnie, chociaż Puccini był mniej systematyczny od kolegów odpowiadających za kształt literacki opery.

„Cyganeria” zajmuje poczesne miejsce w rankingu najczęściej wystawionych oper, jest trzecia lub czwarta. Jej koncertowe wykonanie pozwoli w pełni cieszyć się najpopularniejszymi ariami i duetami.

Koncert odbył się w Auli Uniwersyteckiej 22 grudnia 2021, w 163. rocznicę urodzin Giacomo Pucciniego.

Wykonanie odbyło się z wykorzystaniem materiałów nutowych G. Ricordi & Co., Bühnen – und Musikverlag GmbH, Berlin.

our young artists, struggling to make ends meet, are shivering from the cold in a rented attic. If fire could be drawn from their talents and hearts ready for love, the chilled room would burst with hot flame. Where is the cooled flat located? Under the skies of Paris, of course. In which district? Latin. How else!

Puccini knew perfectly well that when he reached for Murger's novel, he would touch even the most hardened hearts. The key to the success of Bohemia is a topic close to everyone: youth, bravado, friendship and love. The tandem of the brilliant Illica librettists - Giacoso, had to create a masterpiece. Work on the libretto and music were carried out simultaneously, although Puccini was less systematic than his colleagues responsible for the literary shape of the opera.

"Bohemia" takes a prominent place in the ranking of the most frequently staged operas, it comes third or fourth. Its concert performance will allow you to fully enjoy the most popular arias and duets.
