Buenos Aires Lírica closes its third season with one of the emblematic titles due to the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro . Based on Beaumarchais's play and initiator of the collaboration between the composer and librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte (see Commentary ), the opera marks an important milestone in Mozart's production and many have seen in it a transgression of genres (comedy and drama). The staging corresponds to Marcelo Lombardero . We will advance nothing about the vision of the régisseur, except that he distances himself from the conventions and mannerisms that usually surround the stagings of the operas of one of the most brilliant composers of all time (this was already seen in our inaugural season withLa clemenza di Tito , which we will replace in our next season on the occasion of "Mozart Year"). In these cases, there is nothing better than coming to the theater, enjoying the show and drawing your own conclusions. The musical direction will be in charge of Guillermo Brizzio , whose specialties include the German repertoire.
