GrandiVociConcerts presents an evening of vocal music by the Russian-American composer Sergei Rachmaninoff entitled Spring Waters. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth. Rachmaninoff was heavily influenced by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, whose works will be performed in the first part of the concert. Above all, the concert will contain a lot of chamber music by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
 

The main area of ​​Rachmaninoff's vocal chamber music was the lyric, the world of personal feelings and moods. In its origins it is primarily linked to the legacy of Tchaikovsky, which is evident in the general emotional "openness", sincerity and directness of expression, as well as in some more specific stylistic features. Like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff strived above all to capture the basic mood of this or that poetic text in a lively melodic image and to present it in its growth, dynamics and development, without losing the experience of the older masters of the "Petersburg School" with their careful and attentive attitude towards the poetic word. With few exceptions, Rachmaninoff left admitted no random exchanges or repetitions that distorted the form of the verse, and his vocal declamation was usually precise and distinctive. In this respect he was quite equal to his time - an epoch of the highest, most refined poetic culture. Rachmaninoff's work belongs chronologically to that period of Russian art commonly referred to as the "Silver Age".

GrandiVociConcerts präsentiert unter dem Titel Spring Waters einen Abend mit Vokalmusik des russisch-amerikanischen Komponisten Sergei Rachmaninoff.  In diesem Jahr jährt sich der Geburtstag des Komponisten zum 150. Rachmaninoff wurde stark von Pjotr Tschaikowsky beeinflusst, dessen Werke im ersten Teil des Konzerts aufgeführt werden.  Vor allem aber wird das Konzert viel Kammermusik von Sergej Rachmaninow enthalten.
