[RUSALKA] A book, an opera

Can love cross the line between the innocent world of fantastic creatures and the corrupt world of humans? A romantic tale nourished by Czech ballads,  Rusalka  is also an absolute peak of opera: Dvořák, an admirable symphonist, reveals himself with an ardent lyric and attached to the earth. The new production by Stefano Poda, enchanting genius of the image, brings together an exceptional cast around the first Rusalka by the great Romanian soprano Anita Hartig. Under the masterful baton of Frank Beermann, Dvořák's opera, which is finally gradually establishing itself in the repertoire, is performed for the first time at the Capitol National Opera.

Conte romantique nourri de ballades tchèques, Rusalka est aussi un sommet absolu de l’opéra : Dvořák, admirable symphoniste, s’y révèle d'un lyrique ardent et attaché à la terre. La nouvelle production de Stefano Poda, génie enchanteur de l’image, réunit une distribution exceptionnelle autour de la première Rusalka de la grande soprano roumaine Anita Hartig. Sous la baguette magistrale de Frank Beermann, l’opéra de Dvořák, qui s’impose enfin peu à peu au répertoire, est donné pour la première fois à l’Opéra national du Capitole.
