Shot in just two days, The Little Shop of Horrors recounts the edifying destiny of Seymour, employed at a seedy neighborhood florist and distraught suitor for the beautiful Audrey, who will see his life turned upside down after the discovery of a carnivorous plant in the insatiable appetite… Released in 1960, Corman's film already contains frankly comical elements accentuated in the rock musical that is inspired by it. All you need, in short, to seduce Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq, fans of infernal grand-guignol, improbable actor-puppet hybridizations and other half-horrifying half-hilarious special effects. Created off-off Broadway  in May 1982, The Little Shop of Horrorswas immediately showered with prizes and ran for five years before being brought to the screen by Frank Oz in 1986. For this recreation of a classic black humor (with green highlights), with the complicity of Maxime Pascal à la baguette, Lesort and Hecq will rely on a new French version.
