A concert in connection with Gothenburg being visited by Nobel laureates who appear in the Nobel Week Dialogue where they share knowledge and experience for the future.
In an imagined future, the "city" with its pulse and attractiveness will become increasingly important. And the pulse is hot when Johannes Gustavsson comes to conduct Skyline from Music For A Great City by Copland, Gershwin's An American in Paris and songs by Alma Mahler with mezzo-soprano Karin Torbjörnsdóttir.

Mozart also experienced the allure of the big city when he moved to the European metropolis of Vienna in the 1780s. He arranged his own concert series for the city's seething and growing bourgeois life where he premiered his twenty-third piano concerto – a musical miracle with a slow movement that is among the most moving ever composed. Piano prodigy Víkingur Ólafsson will show that with sharpness and conviction.

This concert is a musical adventure with video projections by Anders Granström and creative lighting design where Johannes Gustavsson leads the Gothenburg Symphony in music that reflects man and the city in different eras. In collaboration with Nobel Week Dialogue and Gothenburg & Co.

En konsert i samband med att Göteborg gästas av Nobelprista­gare som framträder i Nobel Week Dialogue där de delar med sig av kunskap och erfarenhet inför framtiden.
I en tänkt framtid kommer ”staden” med sin puls och dragningskraft att bli alltmer betydelsefull. Och het puls blir det när Johannes Gustavsson kommer för att dirigera Skyline ur Music For A Great City av Copland, Gershwins An American in Paris och sånger av Alma Mahler med mezzosopranen Karin Torbjörnsdóttir.

Även Mozart upplevde storstadens lockelser när han flyttade till europametropolen Wien på 1780-talet. Han arrangerade egna konsertserier för stadens sjudande och växande borgarliv där han uruppförde sin tjugotredje pianokonsert – ett musikaliskt mirakel med en långsam sats som hör till det mest gripande som komponerats. Det kommer pianosnillet Víkingur Ólafsson att visa med skärpa och övertygelse.

Denna konsert är ett musikaliskt äventyr med videoprojektioner av Anders Granström och kreativ ljusdesign där Johannes Gustavsson leder Göteborgs Symfoniker i musik som speglar människan och staden i olika tidsepoker. I samarbete med Nobel Week Dialogue och Göteborg & Co.
