One of the favorite family performances, on which several generations of young Muscovites have already grown up, returns to the repertoire of the Musical Theater. Opera N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" was staged on our stage in 1997. Spectacular, full of imagination, the performance was created by director Alexander Titel and artists Yuri Ustinov and Irina Akimova. The premiere was conducted by Ara Karapetyan.

Since then, The Tale of Tsar Saltan has been a bestseller for parents with children. Adults go to hear the wonderful soloists of the opera (in the production, even in small parts, the best forces of the theater are always employed), and the children will enjoy an unforgettable man-made performance: all the characters in the kingdom of Tmutarakan and on Buyan Island - from angels, fish and cows to trees and the city itself - the artists of the choir and mimams play in inventive costumes.

“This world, kind and warm, is born on an empty stage from the imagination of the authors and, of course, ours. This game, offered to the audience and readily accepted by them, immediately made the opera lively and light, bright and funny, ”wrote Valery Kichin, columnist for Rossiyskaya Gazeta, shortly after the premiere.

В репертуар Музыкального театра возвращается один из любимых семейных спектаклей, на котором выросло уже несколько поколений юных москвичей. Опера Н.А. Римского-Корсакова «Сказка о царе Салтане» была поставлена на нашей сцене в 1997 году. Зрелищный, полный фантазии спектакль создали режиссер Александр Титель и художники Юрий Устинов и Ирина Акимова. Премьерой дирижировал Ара Карапетян.

С тех пор «Сказка о царе Салтане» – бестселлер для родителей с детьми. Взрослые идут, чтобы услышать замечательных солистов оперы (в постановке даже в небольших партиях всегда заняты лучшие силы театра), а детей ждет незабываемое рукотворное представление: всех персонажей в царстве Тмутаракани и на острове Буяне – от ангелов, рыб и коров до деревьев и самого города – играют артисты хора и миманса в изобретательно придуманных костюмах.

«Этот мир, добрый и теплый, рождается на пустой сцене из фантазии авторов и – обязательно – нашей. Эта игра, предложенная залу и охотно им принятая, сразу сделала оперу живой и легкой, яркой и смешной», – писал вскоре после премьеры обозреватель «Российской газеты» Валерий Кичин.
