Tosca is one of the most famous operas in the world. Composition
by Giacomo Puccini, on a libretto by Luigi llica and Giuseppe Giacos a,
the work is inspired by the eponymous play by Victorien Sardou.
Specially written for Sarah Bernhardt, the plot features
an opera singer desperate to save her born doomed lover
to death. Created on January 14, 1900 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome, the opera
never left center stage.
This new production including the OPERAMI troupe (6 soloists
professionals), the OPERAMI Orchestra (53 professional musicians),
the Chour OPERAMI (40 singers) and the School Master
Geneva International (15 children), will immerse us in 1800 in
a Rome suffocated by the heat of summer. Nearly 120 costumes and 3
sets will be specially created for this show produced and
100% made by artists from the Lake Geneva region.
