Awarded the 2020 inaugural Tippett Medal and nominated for an Ivor Novello Award in the Stageworks category, this new work by John Casken based on the tragedy of 'King Lear' and set in an imagined cell scene with King Lear and his daughter, Cordelia, incorporates Shakespeare’s text in the form of speech, sprechstimme and singing.
