Biography
Soprano Sílvia Sequeira, based in Maastricht, has been known for an extensive repertoire from classicism to the 19th and 20th centuries with a focus on Verismo. She was a member of the Studio Opera of the Dutch national opera in Amsterdam where she debut the role of Anna Kennedy from Donizetti's Maria Stuarda. She won the TV competition “ARIA”, the 2nd prize, the best dramatic voice, a special prize and the audience prize in the “Ebe Stignani Competition”, the 3rd prize in the “Vinceró competition”, the audience prize in the competition “Ciclo Lousada”, and the Wagner and Audience prize on “IVC” in 2022. In the Summer of 2021, she debuts as Michaela from Bizet’s “Carmen” in Germany with Bundesjungendorchester was conducted by Elias Grandy and Stagging by Björn Reiken. She won the
