Biography
Soprano Siri Karoline Thornhill studied in her hometown of Stavanger, Norway and did her master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She gathered further important impulses in master-classes with Anna Reynolds, Ingrid Figur, Anthony Rolfe-Johnsen and Elly Ameling, and has sung with such conductors as Iván Fischer, Ton Koopman, Bruno Weil, Philippe Herreweghe, Thomas Hengelbrock, Ivor Bolton, Christoph Coin, Sigiswald Kuijken, Riccardo Minasi, Ottavio Dantone und Fabio Biondi. Her musical partners include ensembles as Konzerthausorchester Berlin, La Petite Bande, Freiburger Barockorchester, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Stavanger Symfoniorkester, Kammerorchester Basel, Concertgebouw Kamerorkest, Opéra National de Bordeaux and Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.
