Biography
The young German tenor Stefan Sbonnik has already played a dozen roles on stage, including the title role in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria , Kalil in Christian Jost's Die Arabische Nacht , Remendado in Carmen and Bill in Jonathan Doves Flight at the Prinzregententheater in Munich and in Ingolstadt. He took on one of the leading roles in the first performance of the rediscovered baroque opera Almira by Ruggiero Fedeli in Kassel in 2013. In concert he sings the tenor solos in Mendelssohn's Lobgesang in the Oetkerhalle in Bielefeld, Saint-Saën's Christmas Oratorio in Salzburg, Britten's War Requiemin Exeter and Mozart's version of Handel's Messiah at the Kassler Musiktage. In 2015, Stefan received a Richard Wagner scholarship and sang excerpts from Schubert's Die Schöne Müllerin
