With a long-standing interest in twentieth-century Russian music, previous conducting engagements with King’s College Symphony Orchestra have included Stravinsky Firebird (1919 Suite) and Prokofiev ‘Battle on the Ice’ from Alexander Nevsky Cantata. In a rare staging of ballet with live orchestra at Cambridge, Trojan was Music Director for a highly-acclaimed production of ‘Ballets Russes’ at the Howard Theatre last term. On the operatic front, he is Music Director for an upcoming production of Handel Amadigi di Gaula, jointly-sponsored by the Handel Institute and Cambridge University Opera Society (CUOS). At the recent Waterperry Opera Festival, Trojan was Music Director for Barber A Hand of Bridge and Assistant Music Director for Mozart Don Giovanni.
