Edna Prochnik

Praised by "Opernglas" for her "kräftig-deutlicher Intonation und warmer, dunkler Stimme" (strong-clear intonation and a warm-dark voice) the Israeli singer Edna Prochnik established herself as a very fine interpreter of the german repertory. After the exclusive invitation of maestro Dan Ettinger she became a member of the Nationaltheater Mannheim in the season 2009/10 where she since sang very succesfully all the main mezzo roles in Wagners Ring - Fricka, Waltraute, Norn, Erda, Schwertleite - in the acclaimed direction of Achim Freyer, which was captured on DVD by Arthaus Musik.
