After learning to play the piano, she studied voice at the National University of Music in Bucharest where she earned a master’s II while perfecting her skills under the guidance of Corneliu Fanatean. In 2015, she entered the Paris Opera Academy. A prize winner at numerous competitions, her awards include the Jury’s Special Prize at the “Master of Lyrical Art Competition” at the Bucharest Opera in 2011 and the audience prize at the Bordeaux International Voice Competition in 2016. After performing roles like Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Ruggiero (Alcina) at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Emanuela Pascu made her Bucharest Opera debut performing the title role of Carmen.
