Biography
Ivo Kovrigar was born in Vienna and his repertoire ranges from the baroque to the modern. He is currently completing his MA Vocal Performance at the MDW with Prof. Peter Edelmann, and will be part of the ensemble at the Musikalische Komödie der Oper Leipzig from the 2023/24 season. His artistic work is characterized by scenic productions in operettas, operas and musicals, in which he gained solo stage experience in various roles, most recently in My Fair Lady at the Vienna Volksoper, as well as at the Lehàr Festival Bad Ischl and the summer festival operklosterneuburg. Last year he made his role debut as Marcello in the opera La Bohème at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, as well as Harlequin in Ariadne auf Naxos, and was in the role of Papageno in a children's version of The Magic Fl
