Karol Bettley was born in Warsaw and received violin, piano and singing lessons at school at the Robert Schumann Conservatory in Zwickau. He studied opera and concert singing at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin. As a soloist he has appeared at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, the Admiralspalast Berlin, the Heidelberg City Theater and the Theater Vorpommern. His repertoire includes roles such as: Leicester in "Maria Stuarda", Don Ramiro in "La Cenerentola", Tebaldo in "I Capuleti ei Montecchi", Lenski in "Eugen Onegin", Ernesto in "Don Pasquale" and Capellio in "Giulietta e Romeo".
