Nikolaus Webern

NIKOLAUS WEBERN was born in Austria. He studied Scenography in the Masterclass of Prof. Erich Wonder at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. He designed productions a.o. at Staatsoper Hamburg, the Theater an der Wien in der Kammeroper, for Neue Oper Wien, for the Komische Oper Berlin, for the Staatstheater Saarbrücken, the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater Regensburg, Landestheater Coburg, the Bregenz Festival, for the Verdi Festival in Parma, the Volksoper Vienna, Theater St. Gallen, Theater Chemnitz, Staatstheater Cottbus, Oper Leipzig, for Oper Dortmund, Zurich Opera, Theater Freiburg and Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. 2008 he was nominated for the Offenbacher Löwe by the Theater Academy of Hessen for his design for Hamlet. 2011 he won the ring.award off for his design for
