Biography
Georgian soprano Sophie Gordeladze has had big success in Handel's "Alcina" at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern during this season. In summer 2022 she will make her debut as Lucrezia Contarini in Giuseppe Verdi’s “I due Foscari” at the opera festival of Heidenheim in Germany. Most recently she appeared in the role of Hermione in Goldmark’s "A Winter's Tale" at the Wexford Festival 2021. A freelancer since 2018, she has sung roles including. Traviata at the Tbilisi Opera House, Othmar Schöck's "Schloss Dürande" in Bern (released on CD by Claves) and at the Staatstheater Meiningen, Emma in Schubert's "Fierabras" at the Konzert Theater Bern and Mathilde in Rossini's "GuillaumeTell" at the Erl Festival 2019, the soprano role in "Ein deutsches Requiem" by Johannes Brahms in Parma, as well as El
