Sophie Kochanowska

Sophie Kochanowska is an outstanding young Scottish soprano of “great artistic quality”, highly praised as an actress for the “sheer power” of her performances. In addition to being a fine Mozartian stylist, Sophie particularly excels in the full lyric soprano Slavic and German repertoire which seems to sing itself in her voice. This season she made her Greek and role debut as Donna Elvira with Teatro Grattacielo and Sinfonietta Hellenica under the baton of Maestro Georgios Galanis and she prepared the role of Desdemona with Sir John Tomlinson, Matthew Jocelyn, Jennifer Condon and David Jones thanks to a scholarship with Stimme, Leib & Seele.
