Susanne Serfling

Soprano Susanne Serfling studied singing at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin with Hannerose Katterfeld after completing classical ballet training. In addition, she attended master classes with Julia Varady and Wolfram Rieger. Susanne Serfling is a prizewinner of the Lotte-Lenya singing competition and national singing competition 2000. She is also a scholarship holder of the European Cultural Foundation 2002. During her studies, Susanne Serfling was a guest at the Berlin State Opera, the Komische Oper Berlin and the Salzburg Festival. Her first permanent engagement took her to the Erfurt Theater, where she successfully worked as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. In 2005 the soprano moved to the ensemble of the Darmstadt State Theater.
