Biography
Verena Stoiber was born in Germany. She studied theater and media and German and English literature in Erlangen as well as stage directing at the August Everding Bavarian Theatre Academy in Munich. During her studies she worked at Staatsoper Nürnberg, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Kammerspiele München and Landestheater Niederbayern, where she made her directing debut in 2008 with Tchaikovsky’s “Eugen Onegin”. After living in Rome, Barcelona and Buenos Aires for some years she moved back to Germany and became an assistant director at Staatsoper Stuttgart, where she worked together with Jossi Wieler and Calixto Bieito.
