Julia Danz completed her Bachelor of Music in singing at the Saar University of Music with Prof. Ruth Ziesak. She completed the Master of Music Opera and the master class exam at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater with Prof. Caroline Stein with distinction. In 2016 she won first prize at the Lortzing Competition in Leipzig, she is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Saar and has been a multiple finalist in international singing competitions. In 2019 she received the Schubert Prize “Lied” from the German Schubert Society. Master classes with Prof. Klesie Kelly, Prof. Christiane Iven, Ingeborg Danz, Prof. Thomas Heyer and the composer Prof. Wolfgang Rihm round off her education. At the HMT Leipzig she sang the role of Sophie Scholl (»Kommilitonen!«) and made
