Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: LADY OF SPACE Opera in three acts and seven paintings Having money, wealth, and thus the highest honor in society is a temptation that the main character of the opera Hermann cannot resist. At first, they will believe in cheap instructions to get rich, but later they will not protect anything just to get the money they want, while the price they pay for it is devastating for everyone. The question remains whether these are just ghosts of the past that still have such ominous suggestiveness today, or whether this old story has something to do with our present. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, like in his opera Eugene Onegin, remained faithful to Pushkin and his literary legacy in this work. But not a sentimental romantic depiction of great love, but a relentless critique of Tsarism and its social distortions. Having money, wealth, and thus gaining a high position is a temptation that the main hero of the opera, Hermann, cannot resist. He gradually falls into a state in which he no longer protects himself - just to get the coveted money! He not only gambles with his own existence, but his actions also turn the lives of others into ruins.

In this work, Tchaikovsky introduces himself to us as an excellent playwright: he brings a pregnant penetration into the psychology of characters into a typically romantic story, marked by a trace of mystical mystery. It thus creates an image that can be viewed from two positions: as a generously designed fresco of romantic destiny - or as a remarkable, penetrating study of human souls. After all, gambling, in its distinct form, always touches essentially and tragically those who have chosen it as a way of approaching their own lives. Topic still relevant.
